Clinical Psychology specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health problems. The aim of psychological counselling is to assist in the resolution of personal issues and difficulties by exploring and understanding their nature and impact, and then developing appropriate skills and coping strategies.
Fees for Laurie: The intake assessment is $230 for up to a 75 minute consultation. Ongoing consultations are $210 for 50+minutes.
Fees for Sheona and Fabian: All consultation fees are $210 for 50+minutes.
Payment is required on the day and is made by eftpos, preferably not cash. Consideration is given to minimise costs when needed.
Medicare referrals: Clinical Psychology is rebatable through Medicare with a specific referral from a doctor. Medicare rebates apply for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year for clients referred on a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). A rebate of $128.40 can be claimed for each session and the refund is processed on the day and refunded directly into your account.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs referrals: A doctor can make DVA referrals with a letter stating the reason for referral. Fees are invoiced to DVA.
Open Arms – Veterans and Families Counselling referrals: eligibility for Open Arms (formerly VVCS) referrals are made via an Intake Assessment, please phone OA on 1800 011 046 to initiate the referral.
NDIS: Referrals can be made for clients with NDIS assistance. Please check your eligibility through your registered service provider.
Telehealth: Telehealth referrals on a MHTP can be made for clients in remote locations such as FIFO workers and during COVID-19. Medicare rebates apply.
Private Health self-referrals: Clinical Psychology is rebatable by most private health insurance funds and a doctor’s referral is not required. Please check with your health fund for rebate schedules.
Workers Compensation/Work Cover and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referrals must be confirmed in writing by the insurer. Fees are invoiced to your provider.
Cancellation Policy: Please note that charges may apply to cancelled appointments and if you fail to attend: within 24 hours notice (100% of the fee); 24-48 hours notice (50% of the fee). Please provide as much notice as possible so we can re-schedule from our waitlist.
